- Conceived out of love sometime in early March.
- 2-3 wks later, Mommy tested obsessively to make sure you were "true" :) Mommy was so happy and nervous at the same time to know, and Daddy was overjoyed.
- One of the first "signs" you were there was that I didn't like the smell of meat I was cooking. LOL I had some mild nausea throughout the pregnancy, and some fatigue, especially when my iron dipped, but overall, I felt really good.
- Big Brother and Sister were excited, but took the news in stride, since they had been wanting a baby brother or sister (especially Micah) and Jillian didn't fully understand. They both immediately began praying for you every night in their bedtime prayers, and still do to this day. :)
- We called and told the grandparents, and then friends. Everyone was so happy for us and couldn't wait to meet you.
- Fr. Holloway said a blessing and prayer for us, when we told him our news. :)
- In early May, mommy had some light spotting and cramping that worried her, but she rested and it went away and you were fine.
- Also in May, we lost Aunt Mary Jo and we went to her funeral. I'm sure you've met her and hugged her by now. :)
- In June, the doctor said all looked well with you. A good strong heartbeat. :)
- Summer was really hot. lol Swimming felt really good. :)
- I loved taking you to Mass in my big belly, and praying for us.
- When Mrs. Misha and her kids came to visit us, we began going swimming every day, and it felt so good...to be weightless, w/ you in there with me, getting our exercise. It really built my stamina, especially for those stair climbs at the apartment and long walks down the Walmart aisles. lol I felt healthier than during my other pregnancies, I ate well (mostly :) and took my vitamins.
- Mrs. Misha took our only belly pics :)
- Remember how I'd rock and rub that big hiney of yours? lol I could do that forever! You were such a good boy, liked to stay on the left. Got hiccups several times, maybe more than Big Brother did, not sure. lol
- As my belly grew, the kids would give you kisses goodnight and talk about when you would get here. Micah was going to share all of his toys with you and tell you how to play stuff. lol :) He really misses you and misses getting to do that now :(
- In September, Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast and was the worst hurricane in recorded history. Mommy had to make herself stop watching the news, it was too sad and she didn't want to affect you. We had to cancel a trip due to the gas shortages and prices.
- I can't remember much of October, except Halloween. lol Big Brother was Batman and Sister was a princess :) We had fun walking around and the kids got a lot of candy. :) The only thing that wasn't as fun was locking ourselves out of the apartment and having to call the office to come open it up. LOL
- We sure had a lot of tornado scares living in Northport. Sometimes we would go downstairs to the neighbor's apartment to wait them out. Daddy also got to go to a few of the Alabama games (Roll Tide!), which mommy wasn't always happy about, but we always made up. :)
- In November, Mommy began to panic at how soon you'd be here. I was so relieved when I got all of your clothes washed and our bags packed for the hospital. We also got our sorting and clearing out of boxes from most of the rooms. I was so thankful.
- At Thanksgiving, Nana and Pawpaw came to visit and we had a nice quiet weekend.
- That last week of November/first days of December, we were very sad about Mrs. Deb's baby boy Quinn....he went to heaven 5 days before you did, and I know he was there to welcome you. Mommy went into labor thinking about him and his funeral that day. I know he was watching and praying over us.
- Born in Alabama on December 03, 2005.
